Mellissa is a civil engineer with more than 30 years of experience in the design, management, and construction of stormwater and wastewater re-use schemes. She is currently a Senior Asset Planner at SA Water developing integrated water management solutions for Greater Adelaide while providing strategic direction to the Water Sensitive SA program as Program Director.
​
Her cross-disciplinary experience has enabled her to translate technical information and research into a form suitable for use by decision makers, policy writers and practitioners, providing practical guidance and the evidence base needed for urban greening and water sensitive cities transitions. She is committed to supporting industry and government achieve a cultural shift to build the technical capability required to mainstream water sensitive urban design (WSUD) practices.
