Professor Juan Saldarriaga is a leading expert in urban hydraulic systems, with over 25 years of experience in research and academia at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. As Director of the Water Distribution and Sewerage Systems Research Center (CIACUA), his work has focused on optimizing potable water distribution and urban drainage systems, particularly in developing countries. His research spans mathematical and physical modelling, water quality in distribution networks, and innovative approaches to sustainable urban drainage. With a deep commitment to advancing hydraulic engineering, Professor Saldarriaga has played a key role in shaping the future of water infrastructure in Latin America.
